Join the Wellness Committee!

The Local Wellness Policy is a written document that guides a local educational agency’s (LEA) or school district’s efforts to establish a school environment that promotes students’ health, well-being, and ability to learn. The Wellness Policy Committee has been created as an effort to manage and develop our school’s healthy habits.

» A Wellness Committee will be appointed to each school

» The committee may include parents and guardians, students, representatives of the school nutrition program, physical education teachers, or any other interested stakeholder that is aligned with the goals of the policy

» The committee shall meet a minimum of four times per year

This is a great opportunity to help promote and support student health and wellness, and create a positive, safe, and health-promoting learning environment. Please contact mealcounts@accelschools.com for more information.

School Update – March 9, 2022

Falcon Families,

School has been closed the past two days due to unexpected issues with our boiler system. This system was just repaired less than 7 years ago and should not have malfunctioned in the manner that it has. At LEP, we pride ourselves on ensuring that the environment is conducive for learning for our Falcons and that it is a safe one as well.

We are still awaiting the delivery of parts for the repair as well as additional specialists whom are able to assist with this type of repair.

As such, we are closed for tomorrow and will send out additional information at some point that afternoon upon meeting with the technician team, regarding next steps. We will send out grade specific review work that can be completed. Your scholar also has access to the AMP/Canvas and can complete iReady or IXL lessons.

We truly appreciate our Falcon Families who have sent words of encouragement and extended grace as we navigate this issue.

Falcons Strong Always,

Ms. D2
Executive Principal of Lake Erie Preparatory School & East Academy
